Intuitive Work

What is ‘Intuitive Work’ in the context of a Personal Energy Practice?

Within the frame of this blog I am defining intuitive work as any personal development practice, shift in perception or meditative practice which enables a person to become more connected with their own intuition, inner voice, or inner wisdom.

So why practice intuitive work?

Intuitive Work

Intuitive Work often helps us discover our inner Pearls of Wisdom

In my experience, intuitive work is gaining access to the huge untapped resources of inner wisdom stored in our energy anatomy.

There are many different ways to access our inner wisdom, sometimes it happens spontaneously, yet often we don’t know how or why.

We say we were ‘inspired’, the thought just ‘popped into my head’, we ‘had a vision’, or paid attention when that ‘little voice in the head told me to’.

Artists and poets say they listen to their ‘muse’.  Writers say the words ‘just came to them’.

For example, did you know that Stephanie Meyer, the author of  the Twilight series, orginally had a dream that she was walking into a sunny wooded clearing and ‘saw’ a beautiful sparkling boy, who told her he was a vampire?  And the rest, as they say, is history.

Some Benefits of Intuitive Work

I have had the good fortune to practice and teach a number of techniques which have helped myself and others to connect to their inner wisdom.

Here are some of the benefits of using intuitive work and intuitive development techniques.

  • Clearing ‘writer’s block’ or starting the creative flow for writing or designing a project.
  • Understanding our own motivations and emotions from a deeper, more balanced, perspective.
  • Learning how to listen to that ‘inner voice’ and interpreting what it may mean.
  • Learning more about our own ‘spiritual blueprint’.  What our skills and abilities are, why we are here and how best to understand and embody our blueprint.
  • Practicing peace and serenity with ‘how things are’ and learning to let go of emotional blocks and traumas from our past, turning them into stepping stones.
  • Being able to switch to a higher, or global, perspective when things get tough and look inwards, instead of outwards, for the answers.

Tools for Intuitive Work

There are many, and more will be added to this list over time!  Here are some that I have experienced and find useful

  • Autogenics (a meditation tool)
  • Any form of energy balancing
  • Brain gym
  • The Mythoself® Process
  • Shamanic journeying
  • Guided visualizations/meditations
  • The Nia Technique
  • Art, Dance, Music of any kind
